Rules

At the Heritage Forum we try not to have too many rules, but the ones we do have are important. Please read these, and do your best to keep them in mind.

Stay on topic

Please only post new discussions to the appropriate category. If you think that we need additional categories, ask for them in the forum category.

Keep the language appropriate for all

No swearing or offensive terminology, please. At the moment, the forum doesn't have a nasty words filter enabled, and we'd like to keep it that way. Please help to ensure that it remains unnecessary.

Be polite

Feelings can run high in discussion forums. Please try to avoid generating unnecessary conflict wherever possible. In the words of Wikipedia, "assume good faith". In the words of Bill and Ted, "be excellent to each other".

No advertising except where explicitly permitted

The discussion categories are just for that, discussions. There is a separate Notice Board category where you can place permitted adverts.

The moderator's decision is final

We hope that we won't need to wield the big stick very often. But, if we do, then there is no appeal. If you disagree with the way we run this forum then find another one that's more to your taste.
