I have 1891 and 1901 census records for Peterculter, Aberdeenshire that show a family of Cruickshanks living at Brotherfield Mill, Aberdeenshire. Next in the listing is a family related to me, Robert & Ann Bain at Cromie Cottage. I have not visited (from Canada) as yet so am doing my search electronically. I can find records on Brotherfield Mill, but nothing on Cromie Cottage. Can anyone shed some light on what Cromie Cottage was like and if it was located on Brotherfield Mill property? TX,
